How It All Started
Built from the brand side and the factory floor
The idea for JIAMICO began with sisters Kim and Rong while building their own womenswear brand. During product development and production, they experienced many of the challenges small brands face: factories structured around larger orders, limited flexibility for small-batch production, long scheduling windows, and difficulty translating subtle expectations around fit, proportion, fabric and finishing into production.
Even while based in Guangdong — one of the world’s most established apparel manufacturing hubs — navigating these challenges took time. They realised how much harder the same process could be for an independent designer or brand managing production from thousands of kilometres away.
The sisters eventually partnered with a trusted manufacturer they had worked with for years. By combining hands-on brand experience with more than a decade of apparel manufacturing expertise, JIAMICO was created to bridge the gap between design intention and production reality.
Today, we support brands through product development, sourcing, sampling, production and quality control — providing one point of contact from the first sample through repeat production.

We’ve been on the brand side
Before JIAMICO, Kim and Rong developed and sold their own womenswear collections. We understand the realities brands face — smaller quantities, sample revisions, limited budgets, production deadlines and the importance of getting details right.
Small-batch by design
JIAMICO was built around the needs of independent brands. Small production runs are not an exception to our business — they are part of how we work. Brands can start carefully, test the market and grow production as demand develops.
A womenswear perspective
Having developed, fitted, worn and sold garments themselves, Kim and Rong understand that the difference between “technically correct” and “right for the brand” often lies in subtle details — proportion, silhouette, fabric hand-feel and finishing.
Open to new materials & techniques
Developing our own collections keeps us curious about new fabrics, finishes and production techniques. When a client brings us an unfamiliar idea, we work with our factory and supplier network to explore what is possible and find a practical path to production.
Our Factory
From pattern to packed product
Our production team handles the main stages of garment manufacturing — pattern making, sample development, cutting, sewing, quality inspection, packing and dispatch. Our production setup supports both small-batch development and larger production runs as brands grow, and keeping the key stages closely coordinated lets us communicate faster, monitor quality more closely and keep better control over timelines.
